PROPERTY TRANSFER AFFIDAVIT: This form must be filed with the City Assessor whenever there is a transfer of ownership. The buyer, grantee, or a transferee of any property must file this form within 45 days of the transfer or a penalty of $5.00 per day (maximum $200) applies.
PRINCIPAL RESIDENCE EXEMPTION AFFIDAVIT (PRE): To qualify for the Principal Residence Exemption (formerly known as "Homestead"), you must own and occupy the property as your legal principal residence. Qualified homeowners can receive up to an 18-mill tax reduction by filing a Principal Residence Exemption with the Assessor.
REQUEST TO RESCIND/WITHDRAW PRINCIPAL RESIDENCE EXEMPTION: This form must be filed with the City Assessor when you no longer occupy the property as your principal residence, when your property is sold, or when it is converted to another use and no longer qualifies for the full exemption.
CONDITIONAL RESCISSION OF A PRINCIPAL RESIDENCE EXEMPTION: This form enables a person who has established a new principal residence to retain a PRE on property previously exempt as the owner's principal residence and the new principal residence if certain criteria are met
