Fines & Costs All fines and costs assessed by the Judge are expected to be paid at sentencing, or in some select cases, within 30 days of your sentence date.

Payment of all court fines and costs are to be made at the 59th District Court Clerk's Office in Grandville or Walker, depending on where your offense occurred.  The court only accepts payments made by cash, money order, cashier's checks, or debit/credit card.  Click here to make payments via credit card online or by phone.  Please include your name and case number on the money order or cashier's check.

If you believe that you will not be able to pay your fines and costs off in full within 30 days of sentence, you may discuss this matter with your probation officer. This does not mean that a payment plan will be approved!  You may be required to show proof of income and expenses in order to justify such a request.  All payment plans are subject to approval by the Judge.

Additionally, each probationer is also charged a $30 supervision/oversight fee for each month he/she is on probation.  All oversight fees will be paid after case fines and costs are paid in full, and are to be brought to the Grandville location regardless of whether the case originated in Walker.  Probation fees should then be paid on a monthly basis or in full in advance. 

Oversight monies do not go towards the probation officer, Judge, court clerk, or any other paid staff; rather, the monies are returned back to the city in which the offense occurred, i.e. Grandville or Walker.  This money helps defray the costs and expenses in running the court and serves as a "tax break" for citizens.
